Job Description
Servicing and testing of marine safety equipment to relevant national and international standards- Lifeboats & davit systems
- Liferafts and associated equipment
- Fire fighting equipment
- General marine safety equipment
Tasks
- Completing service reports accurately and on time in order to present to the client and relevant 3rd parties
- Maintain service equipment in a good working condition and complying with any regulations such as calibration
- Ensuring the service facility complies with national and international regulations
- Collecting and delivering equipment from the port
- Keeping the branch manager/service coordinator informed of services in progress
- Ensuring a minimum stock level is maintained by informing the branch manager of requirements in advance
- Maintaining service facility certification and ensuring renewals are done within the expiry period
Position Requirements
- A good command of the English language
- Being able to travel, sometimes on short notice, both locally and internationally
- Working odd hours due to vessel requirements
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products, Excel, Word ect.
- Valid driving license
- Attention to detail when working
- Valid passport
- No criminal record
- Experience with servicing and testing of Liferafts and fire fighting equipment will be an advantage
- Experience with hydraulic and electrical equipment will be an advantage
