Through the Professional Occupation Permit, the government offers the possibility for foreigners to explore the Mauritian labor market in various dynamic sectors. Note however that this application must be made by the employer in Mauritius.

Upon obtaining your Professional Occupation Permit, you will be able to live and work in Mauritius for an initial period of 3 years (or the period fixed by the contract). You will also have the possibility to invest in companies provided that you are not employed or involved in the management of the company.
